Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and rotating holidays • No call responsibilities required • Patient ratios of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends • Floating required to Medical/Surgical units with 1:7 ratios • 2 years of nursing experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Required certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS • Epic charting system experience preferred • Trauma Level I experience preferred • Must maintain permanent residence 100 miles from hospital service area • 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays with online CBLs • Care for patients ages adolescent through geriatric with 33-bed unit capacity • Provide specialized care including cardiac monitoring, wound care, IV management, and various medical procedures • Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education • Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases • Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start date • Facial hair must be trimmed for CDC fit testing compliance Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care between intensive care and general medical/surgical units.
