A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Float pool position covering approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments • Will float between units and to other Metro campuses as needed • Patient ratio of 1:5 on all shifts • 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed • Minimum 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract • 12-hour orientation period required • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • Preferred certification: ACLS • Must have 1-2 years of experience in specialty • Required skills: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown • Cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Experience with Pre/Post Cardiac Cath procedures • Knowledge of Sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, Renal Failure, AFIB, GIB, Stroke, COVID • Work with equipment including Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell • Epic charting system experience • Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact state license • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive health system featuring multiple metro campuses with specialized progressive care units.
