Details Work in a mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a 194-bed short-term acute care hospital Unit serves both medical-surgical and progressive care patients, with specialty areas including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary MS patient ratio is 1:5-6; PCU patient ratio is 1:3-4 Exposure to cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips Patients include unstable strokes and those requiring BiPap Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Charting via Cerner (experience required) Free parking available Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital Scrub colors: red top, black bottoms Requirements Active IN state RN license, compact license, or IN temporary license in hand prior to start Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA and RQI formats accepted) Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience required Solid neuro nursing experience required MS/Tele or PCU RN background accepted Cerner EMR experience required Nursing degree from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this position (PCU is not exempt from this facility rule) Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted for this PCU position Any former permanent or PRN employee of this health system must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-684113.
