Details Hospital-based position floating across Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, and PCU units Adult to geriatric patient population across all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU diagnoses Patient ratios: 1:4–5 on PCU; 1:5–6 on MS and MS/Tele units Epic EMR experience required; also uses Pyxis and SBAR Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Every other weekend required (approximately 6 weekends over a 13-week contract) Floating to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital is required No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted Navy blue scrubs required RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment RTO blackout period: Spring Break (April 4–12) Holiday coverage policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2 and may request 1 holiday off Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1) Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a travel nurse No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted — the posted day shift schedule is firm Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-683528.
