Details Hospital setting, floating to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the facility Adult to geriatric patient population across Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, and Progressive Care diagnoses Patient ratios: 1:4–5 on PCU; 1:5–6 on MS and MS/Tele units EMR: Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) Every other weekend required (averaging 6 weekends over a 13-week contract) Floating is required across multiple units No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; Charge Nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12) Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted night shift is firm Scrub color: Navy Blue Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler Compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule American Traveler Job ID P-685310.
