A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Provide nursing care in hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients under general supervision • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Monitor all changes in physician orders for assigned patients • Assist physician in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Observe physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with family and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • 1 year of PACU experience required • 1 year of overall nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
