Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Work in a 40-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 1:2 patient ratios • Scrub color requirements: surgical green or navy scrubs • 6-week scheduling periods with 3 call shifts required within each 6-week period • Float within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II • Use Cerner documentation system • Work with standard PACU equipment and ventilator monitoring • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS • Must have NIH Stroke Scale experience • Trauma experience and pediatric experience preferred • Advanced skills needed in ventilator monitoring • Unit support includes HUC available 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and 4 PCTs scheduled daily • PCTs can draw labs, perform catheterizations, and transport patients • Located in K Tower, Cost Center 704 Facility: This flagship hospital is licensed for 815 beds and serves as the region's referral center with the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
