Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM shifts with liver transplant call responsibilities • Perform other surgical cases when no liver/transplant procedures are scheduled • Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts • On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month • Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience • Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment • Experience required in placing organs in new patients, not just harvesting • 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) • Float within scope to meet facility needs as required • Must be willing to participate in teaching and training students and new staff • 40-hour orientation period required • Scrub color: Ceil Blue • Charting system: EPIC • Must be nicotine-free with negative 10 panel nicotine drug screen required • EKG and pharmacy tests required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each • Complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours pre-start and annually • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • Daily census: 55-60 patients in 18 operating rooms Facility: This facility is a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital that specializes in complex transplant procedures including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.
