Details 30-bed adult Operating Room unit at a short-term acute care, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and major teaching hospital (COTH member) Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM On-call required on a self-scheduled rotating basis, including some weeknights and weekends Charting systems: Cerner, Accudose, and SBAR Required skills: Pediatric General OR, General OR, Circulate, and Scrub Preferred skills: IV Start Floating is not required for this position Block scheduling cannot be accommodated Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required prior to start (may submit with pending license) Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Pediatric OR experience required Women's specialty experience preferred Robotic surgical experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates are not accepted) A Driver's License and Social Security card are required for consideration At least 2 manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration A clean, active license is required; licenses with hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis Additional Information Perform first assist duties in the OR, including circulating, scrubbing, and surgical first assist functions All RNFAs must complete a Medical Affairs Orientation, which typically takes 30–60 days Flu vaccination is required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); a documented medical allergy on file from an allergist or physician is the only accepted exemption COVID vaccination is not required Scrub color: Bright Blue Parking is free for travelers Former permanent employees of this health system must have a 2-year gap since their last day worked before being eligible to return as a traveler First-time travelers will not be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-681008.
