Details Located within a hospital Operating Room setting in Southeast Alaska Handles a wide variety of elective and emergency surgical cases including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN Roles covered include circulating RN, PACU, and Pre-Op Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour shifts, plus on-call After-hours call required for nights, holidays, and weekends 13-week contract Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of consideration Minimum 3 years of OR experience required Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, Associate Degree, or Diploma in Nursing) High school diploma or GED required Experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or rural operating room strongly preferred Flu vaccine required Additional Information Responsibilities include circulating in the OR, ensuring surgical cases proceed efficiently and on time, and responding to after-hours call for nights, holidays, and weekends Fingerprint card processing is required prior to start — candidates should plan to submit fingerprint cards promptly upon acceptance, as the start date will be no earlier than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing DOB and SSN may be required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-685277.
