Job Details Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN / Surgical Nurse Location: Great Barrington, MA 01230 — Berkshire County, Massachusetts (Western MA, Berkshires) Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026) Shift: 8-hour day shifts (6:45am – 3:15pm) Hours per Week: 40 On-Call: Yes (details TBD) Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required as needed Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470–$2600/week Qualifications / Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room RN (OR RN) experience — perioperative, scrub, and circulating experience preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA state rules apply) American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (current) Operating Room skills checklist (current within 1 year) One supervisory signed reference from the past two years Permanent address must be included with application Own vehicle required for assignment All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted with application (no more than 3 days requested) Responsibilities — Perioperative & Surgical Nursing Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room across thoracic surgery, surgical pathology, sub-acute, pediatric PACU, and pediatric OR cases Function as an OR RN (scrub and/or circulating) collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes Assist with pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-operative care and handoffs Maintain accurate clinical documentation, surgical counts, and adhere to hospital policies and infection control protocols Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed Contribute to a positive patient experience in a community-focused hospital environment and promote high patient satisfaction Why Great Barrington?
