A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour shifts, mid shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM • Up to 2 call shifts per month (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM OR 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Saturday OR Sunday) • Up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks required • Required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas: Dec 24-26 or New Year's: Dec 31-Jan 1) • Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units and sister facilities • 2 years of experience strongly preferred, first-timers accepted • South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required • Required certifications: BLS, Radiation Badge (provided by agency) • Level 1 trauma experience required • Scrub experience strongly preferred • RNs trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures • Work with all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics • Use EPIC charting system • Scrubs provided by facility • Patient ratios: 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams Facility: This Level I academic trauma center and teaching facility features 21 operating room suites covering all surgical specialties in a Magnet-designated department. The facility operates as a busy, dynamic, nurse-driven environment with cutting-edge technology and maintains 820 total staffed beds. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, providing comprehensive surgical services with interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
