Job Details Location: Charleston, SC 29425 — Charleston nursing jobs / South Carolina travel nursing Estimated Weekly Pay: $1640-$1730/week Job Type: Travel Nurse / Perioperative Nurse / Operating Room (OR) RN Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026) Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 AM – 7:00 PM) Hours per Week: 36 On-Call: Up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks Weekend Requirement: Up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one holiday period Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Charting: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred) Scrub Color: Provided Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required (2 years preferred) — perioperative nursing and OR circulator/scrub experience strongly preferred Valid South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (must be active prior to start) BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus Radiation badge provided by agency Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities Circulate and scrub for a broad range of surgical cases across specialties: trauma, transplant, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics Perform perioperative nursing duties as a circulator and scrub, maintaining sterile technique and surgical safety practices Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretaries Provide safe, patient-centered care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations Participate in on-call rotations and cover occasional weekends and holidays as required Float between like units as needed to support patient flow and staffing Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC Contribute to a busy, high-acuity, innovative OR environment and support emergency response teams (including hurricane season, June–November) This travel OR nurse opportunity in Charleston, South Carolina is perfect for experienced Operating Room RNs, perioperative nurses, and surgical travel nurses seeking experience in a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital.
