Details Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment Operating room circulator role covering a range of surgical specialties Full-time schedule, 32 hours per week 13-week contract Requirements Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum of 2 years of OR/surgical nursing experience required Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor's degree preferred CNOR certification and AORN professional affiliation preferred Additional Information Responsible for circulating duties throughout all phases of the patient's surgical experience, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op assessment and care Ensures proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functioning prior to procedures Administers medications, IV procedures, and other therapeutic or diagnostic measures safely and accurately Maintains sterile technique, performs equipment checks, and troubleshoots specialized and patient monitoring equipment Participates in quality improvement initiatives, in-service education, and continuing education related to surgical specialties and ASC standards Assists with orientation and provides guidance to other staff members as needed Remains prepared to respond calmly and immediately in emergency situations American Traveler Job ID P-681462.
