Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus nursing jobs / Ohio travel nursing) Healthcare Setting: Comprehensive Cancer Center — Acute Care Oncology Float Pool (Med/Surg Telemetry) Position Type: Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse, RN) Assignment Dates: April 20, 2026 – August 10, 2026 (16 weeks) Shift: Night shift, 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week) Orientation: 1 week dayshift orientation, then 5 bedside orientation shifts Scheduling: Self-scheduling requests accepted before final schedule posted; weekend coverage variable Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $2040/week Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (within last 3 years) Oncology nursing experience preferred (BMT, hematology/oncology, medical oncology) Travel nursing experience required — prior travel RN assignments preferred Active RN license: compact OR Ohio state RN license in hand at submission Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; OCN/ONS/ONCC certifications preferred Experience with Epic EMR / Epic charting system Ability to float to multiple Med/Surg Oncology units as needed Two professional references required (one must be a manager/director/supervisor) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry and Oncology units, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, PCU Oncology, Gynecologic, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare Deliver oncology nursing care and administer chemotherapy per unit policy, monitoring patients for reactions Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips (no titration) and respond to rapid response/code situations Perform central and peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and blood product administration Follow infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies in acute care settings Use specialized equipment: GE telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Stryker beds, IV pumps, and other acute care devices Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services to coordinate patient care Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic EMR Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed to meet clinical demand Ready to Apply?
