Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus travel nurse / Ohio nursing jobs) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940 - $2,040 per week Setting: Med/Surg Tele – Oncology Focus Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse, RN) Start Date: April 20, 2026 End Date: August 10, 2026 Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week (night shift RN) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics Unit Size: 36 beds Orientation: 24 hours Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (at least 1 year of current specialty experience required) Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required EPIC electronic charting experience required (EPIC charting) Oncology experience preferred but not required (chemotherapy administration experience a plus) Previous travel nurse experience preferred Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Ability to float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care for oncology patients with continuous cardiac monitoring and complex medical needs Administer chemotherapy and other medications per policy and monitor for infusion-related reactions Manage comorbidities with emphasis on infection prevention, patient fall protocols, and symptom management Utilize specialized equipment including B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs); manage arterial, central lines, and PICC lines Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and other bedside procedures as appropriate Administer blood products and establish/maintain IV access Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Accurately document all patient care in EPIC This Med/Surg Tele RN (Registered Nurse) travel assignment is a great opportunity for RNs seeking Columbus, Ohio nursing jobs or travel nurse positions with an oncology focus.
