Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Shift Notes 7p-7a, weekends as needed, first to float (They can be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele to Nampa or Meridian) Telemetry RN – Unit Notes Location: Boise, Idaho Unit: Telemetry – Floors 3 & 7 (pooled staffing) Unit Overview 3rd Floor: 20 beds 7th Floor: 35 beds Staffing: Floors 3 & 7 share staff pool Travelers are expected to float between both floors Patient Ratios RN : Patient = 1:4 Required Certifications BLS ACLS NIHSS Patient Population 3rd Floor – Cardiac Focus Post-procedural cardiac patients Post-op Day 1 open heart TAVR Ablations Post-cath lab patients Pacemakers Medical telemetry patients 7th Floor – General Telemetry Post procedural overflow CHF Sepsis Electrolyte imbalances Post stroke patients Other general telemetry diagnoses Required Experience / Skills Must have experience with: Post procedural cardiac patients Cath lab Ablations Open heart Telemetry interpretation Documenting rhythm strips Preferred: PCU / Stepdown experience Drips RN titration required? Heparin Insulin (rare – facility can train) Common drips Amiodarone Cardizem Dopamine Dobutamine Set rate cardiac gtts Support Staff Charge Nurse Yes – on each unit Usually no patient assignment Crisis & resource nurses available CNAs 3rd Floor: 3 CNAs 7th Floor: 5 CNAs Typical ratio: 1:8 (varies by census) Respiratory Support RT manages respiratory equipment.
