Details 28-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry and Renal unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes general MS/Tele and renal patients, including those with multi-system organ failure Preferred experience with CAPD and drip management including Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin Oxygen therapy modalities include trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula Nurses are responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry every 4 hours in Epic Phlebotomy services are available for peripheral lab draws 12-hour PM shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday Charge nurses are out of ratio on days and in ratio on nights Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents: Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Income Tax return, Military Form No. 2058, or W2 from US government) Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration 1 supervisory reference required for consideration Additional Information Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness Administer medications and manage patients with complex, multi-system conditions Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and with family members or caregivers A pass/fail EKG exam is administered on the first day of assignment; two attempts are allowed, and a study guide will be provided First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-677528.
