Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Telemetry RN – Unit Overview (20 beds): Cardiac-focused telemetry (35 beds): General telemetry Floating: Between 3rd & 7th floor as needed (shared staffing pool) ‍⚕️ Patient Care Details Ratios: 1:4 CNA Support: CNA ratio ~1:8 Patient Types / Diagnoses (Cardiac Focus): Post-op open heart (Day 1) TAVR, ablations, post-cath Pacemakers, med-tele patients (General Tele): CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances Post-stroke Post-procedural overflow ✅ Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years RN experience Must have cardiac post-procedural experience: Cath lab, ablations, open heart Preferred: PCU / Stepdown Must be able to read & interpret telemetry strips Certifications Required BLS ACLS NIHSS Drips & Skills Titration Required: Heparin Insulin (rare – training provided if needed) Common Drips: Amiodarone Cardizem Dopamine Dobutamine Set-rate cardiac gtts Support & Staffing Charge Nurse: Yes (no patient assignment unless needed) Resource/Crisis Nurse: Available Respiratory Therapy: Manages BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow RNs assist if needed Telemetry: Remote tele techs (located on 3rd floor) RNs read/interpret strips 2x per shift Scheduling Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM / 7 PM – 7 AM Schedule Cycle: 6 weeks Flexibility Required: Yes (to fill gaps) Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed Max: 5 shifts in a row Weekend & Holiday Weekend Requirement: 5–6 shifts per 6 weeks Days: Sat/Sun | Nights: Fri/Sat Holidays: May be required (not all holidays) Floating Travelers float first May float to: MS MS-Tele Tele units Sister facilities: Meridian & Nampa Dress Code Any color scrubs allowed About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
