Travel Nurse RN - Stepdown - $1,584 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at a 332-bed teaching, short-term acute care hospital . The RN will provide specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring, including cardiac and step-down level patients. The ideal candidate will have strong PCU experience along with ICU exposure and be comfortable managing cardiac drips and complex patient conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) . Monitor patients with cardiac conditions and other critical medical needs. Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac drips as ordered. Continuously assess patient conditions and respond to changes promptly. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans. Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system . Maintain compliance with hospital safety policies and regulatory requirements. Float to other units or facilities within the system as needed. Requirements Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required . ICU experience required . First-time travelers accepted. Must be comfortable with cardiac drips and step-down level care. EPIC experience required (level 3 or 4 proficiency preferred). Certifications BLS (AHA) – Required at time of submission ACLS (AHA) – Required at time of submission NIHSS – Must obtain prior to start date Additional Assignment Details Floating: Required – may float to Martin North, Martin South, and Martin Tradition (within 20 miles). Block Scheduling: Not available. Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate. Pending License: Accepted. RTO: Must be submitted upfront with the profile.
