Job Details (Travel Nursing Contract) Location: Garfield Heights, OH 44125 Start Date: 03/30/2026 End Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13-week travel contract with option to extend Schedule: Days (07:00–19:30), 12-hour shifts Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 36 Unit: Inpatient Behavioral Health / Psychiatry Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,570–$1,650 Openings: 2 Locals Accepted: Yes Job Requirements (Psych RN Qualifications) Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Behavioral Health RN / Psychiatric RN experience (recent specialty experience required) Additional Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in a short-term acute care hospital prior to travel assignments License: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Certification: Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) References: Two manager-level references in the specialty (manager/ANM/supervisor/director) from the past 12 months Assessments: Ability to successfully complete required medication and rhythm recognition testing during orientation (limited attempts) Responsibilities (Behavioral Health Nursing) Provide therapeutic, patient-centered nursing care for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health and psychiatric needs Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update care plans, and document accurately and timely in accordance with facility policy Support milieu management and maintain a safe, structured environment using de-escalation and trauma-informed care approaches Administer and monitor medications, evaluate response, and educate patients on treatment plans and recovery goals Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (psychiatry, nursing, social work, and therapy) to coordinate care and support discharge planning Maintain safety standards, including observation protocols, risk assessments, and crisis intervention as needed Apply now to join our healthcare team for this travel psychiatric RN opportunity in Garfield Heights, Ohio .
