A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PICU Inpatient Job Details: • Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM • 8-week contract assignment beginning after 9/27 • Manage and oversee care of complex and high acuity/critical pediatric patients • Perform hourly assessments and monitoring at minimum • Provide culturally and developmentally appropriate direct clinical care to patients • Ventilator, BiPAP, CPAP, and Oscillator management required • Cardiac rhythm (EKG) assessment and analysis • Assess, monitor, and trend continuous vitals including cardiac rhythm, respiratory rate, O2 sat, BP, and arterial line waveforms • Manage and appropriately titrate vasoactive, sedation, and insulin drips • Run and analyze bedside point-of-care testing (iSTAT, ABG/VBG) • Assist with bedside procedures including sedated lumbar punctures, arterial line placement, CVL/PICC placement, intubation, and chest tube placement • Support and/or lead pediatric codes using PALS algorithm • Perform sterile dressing changes • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required • Georgia RN license or Multi-state Compact license required • BLS certification required upon hire • PALS certification required within 180 days • Less than 1 year experience acceptable with completion of accredited nursing school • Direct patient care experience preferred • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills required • Ability to function in fast-paced emergency environment Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing critical care services for complex pediatric patients.
