A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work with a varied work schedule • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies • Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to provide age-appropriate care • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframes • Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians • Formulate and implement comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Participate in unit shared leadership and staff education activities • Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in providing quality care • Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse required • Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations • Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics • Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare organization is part of a comprehensive medical system that provides excellent patient care through evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards.
