Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Needham, MA. Job Function: Day Shift. 5x8: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Administer chemotherapy, therapeutic treatments, blood transfusions, and perform phlebotomy Provide and coordinate patient care in an ambulatory oncology setting Assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual or potential health problems Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, and health maintenance Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care Support unit operations including patient flow, assignments, ordering, and medical record preparation Job Requirements: 2 years of oncology experience (required) Outpatient oncology care coordination experience strongly preferred Active Massachusetts RN license required at submission BLS required Must have experience with: VNA/Hospice/DME referrals, Coordinating specialty referrals, Scheduling imaging & IR procedures, Oral chemotherapy authorization workflows Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
