Professional nursing practice aligns with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice , emphasizing clinical excellence, leadership, accountability, and evidence-based care. The Staff RN is a competent nurse who manages care for an assigned patient population, demonstrating advanced clinical judgment, adaptability, and professional growth. Primary Nursing Duties and Responsibilities – Staff RN Demonstrate clinical competency in the management of complex patients and family care needs. Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care in accordance with current clinical guidelines. Independently implement the nursing process and adapt care to rapidly changing patient conditions. Utilize patient care technology and clinical information systems efficiently and safely. Delegate patient care appropriately in alignment with scope of practice. Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new employees and students. Establish and pursue professional development and lifelong learning goals. Perform self-assessment and identify opportunities for growth. Recognize and address ethical issues in clinical practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Apply evidence-based policies and procedures in clinical decision-making.
