Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Summary – NICU RN Job Description (Adventist Health Bakersfield) Position: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Bakersfield, CA – 254-bed acute care hospital Shift: Night Shift – 36 hours/week Experience Required: Minimum 3 years NICU specialty experience System: Cerner experience required Key Responsibilities: Provide coordinated nursing care for NICU patients using the nursing process and established standards of care. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while monitoring patient progress and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and families to ensure safe and effective care. Supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing staff and support personnel. Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination . Requirements: Active RN license in the state of practice BLS/CPR certification required BSN preferred Acute care experience preferred DOB and SSN required at submission Additional Notes: Facility requires vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical/religious exemptions may apply).
