Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 11 hours, nights, flexible Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Location: Canton, GA (No local candidates within 50 miles) Department: 651C Special Care Nursery Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Varies) Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Special Care Nursery) for a 13-week assignment. This role involves providing advanced care to neonates with medical and/or surgical needs using specialized equipment. Unit Overview: The Special Care Nursery (SCN) provides care to infants born at Northside Hospital and evaluates admissions/transfers from other hospitals on a case-by-case basis. Nurses in this unit work with ReCam ophthalmic imaging systems, cardiac monitors, warmer beds, and isolettes. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care to neonates with medical and/or surgical conditions. Monitor patient condition using specialized neonatal equipment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. Document patient care accurately and comply with hospital protocols. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of NICU or specialty neonatal nursing experience. Current BLS certification. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required. Ability to work flexible night shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM).
