Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary : Cardiac Renal Unit MS/Tele RN – Nights – Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Dates: 3/9 or 3/23 – Bi-weekly orientation Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Primary Location: Gateway Shift Requirement: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) Float Requirement: First to float within skillset Weekend Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday Required Certifications (must be attached upon submittal): Current active compact license AHA BLS AHA ACLS NIHSS Minimum Experience Required: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience At least 1 travel assignment Trauma Level II experience Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required Required to complete EPIC checkoff class Patient Population Includes: Post cardiac procedures (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker) A-fib with RVR ESRD CHF Sepsis Tracheostomies Nephrostomy tubes CBI Renal biopsy Behavioral health / detox Required Skillset: Telemetry / 12-lead EKG interpretation (Travelers must pass tele tests) Recovery of heart caths (femoral/TR bands) PIV insertion Chest tube management Indwelling drain management Drip management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Protonix, etc.) CBI experience Detox / CIWA protocol experience Central line care Strong assessment skills Strong critical thinking skills Unit Information: 34 beds Day ratio: 1:4–5 Night ratio: 1:6–7 Charge Nurse takes patient assignment Unit Strengths: Strong leadership team Hard-working team Resilient staff Manages change well Social candidates preferred Scrub Color: Navy blue (No competing health systems or agency logos) Three call-ins can result in termination Teaching hospital – may require precepting students & new hires Covid-19 vaccine not required (subject to change) About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
