Details Inpatient Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) 9-week contract Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 16-bed unit Cerner EMR used; experience required Requirements Active DC RN license required; no pending licenses accepted Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) CPI certification required for this position Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a U.S. hospital required Minimum 1 year of Med/Tele acute care inpatient experience required Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired Cerner EMR experience required Must successfully complete a telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer Valid U.S. SSN and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provides patient-centered care including initial and ongoing assessments, review of systems, and age-appropriate interventions across the lifespan Documents admission assessments, nursing needs, and care plans in accordance with policy and procedures Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position; local candidates are not accepted All certifications must be AHA-issued American Traveler Job ID P-681148.
