Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Med Surg / Tele (ED Holding Unit) – Night Shift | 13 Weeks We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week contract in an ED Holding Support role within the Float Pool . In this unit, patients remain in the Emergency Department while waiting for inpatient beds , and may present with any adult medical/surgical diagnosis , including PCU-level patients . Nurses must be comfortable managing MS/Tele cases and floating to ED and MedSurg units as needed . Shift: Night 3x12 (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Schedule: 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required Contract Length: 13 weeks Requirements Minimum 2 years RN experience MS/Tele experience required BLS & ACLS required Strong skills in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation Experience with rapid response teams, respiratory support, line management, blood product administration, and critical patient monitoring Preferred Experience NIHSS certification Neuro and trauma exposure (CVA, TBI, spinal cord injuries) IV insulin protocols, dialysis care, wound vac management Central line access, starting IVs, and advanced patient care procedures Job Details Patient Ratios: 1:6 (MS/Tele) | 1:4 (PCU level) Unit: ED Holding / Inpatient ED Placement (EDIP) Float: Required to ED and MedSurg units Charting System: Epic Equipment: Cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and standard monitoring systems Scrubs: Navy Important: Nurses must be willing to assist during storm or disaster response teams if activated and must pass EKG testing prior to start .
