A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work day/night rotation schedule for 36 hours per week • Provide care for medical variety of patients with acute or chronic illnesses • Manage patients with sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, GI issues, and fluid/electrolyte imbalances • Care for patients with alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, and skin/wound issues • Treat acute and chronic respiratory illnesses including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis • Work with adult CF patients requiring admission in nationally recognized CF center • Units include 1 East (36 beds) and 2/3 East (25 beds) • On-call responsibilities required • Must have experience with chest tubes, various tubes, and IV drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone • Experience required with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients • Must be comfortable with trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring • Experience with complex wound care required • Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws experience required Facility: This medical center is a nationally recognized facility specializing in comprehensive medical care, particularly noted for its Cystic Fibrosis treatment center.
