Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour variable shifts including both days and nights • Night shifts follow a 6 on, 8 off schedule • Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week • Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required • Float to similar units including Howard Young, Tomahawk, and Rhinelander as needed • Floating can be prescheduled when necessary • Subject to low census and on-call status • Call back minimum is 2 hours • Patient ratio: 1:4-5 during days, 1:6 during nights • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA or Red Cross BLS, and AHA or Red Cross ACLS • Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience required • Travel assignment experience preferred • EPIC charting experience required • Any scrub color permitted • Associate degree or certificate required • Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours • During flu season, travelers declining flu and COVID vaccination must wear masks at all times per facility policy Facility: This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community, featuring a well-equipped Med Surg unit with modern technology and resources.
