Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Unit Overview Beds: 32 | Avg Census: 17.5 Ratios: Med/Surg: 5:1 IMC: 1:2–1:4 ICU (step-down level): 1:1–1:3 Required Certifications BLS, ACLS Common Diagnoses COPD, Pneumonia, Afib RVR, DKA, CIWA, Cardiac patients Required Skills Strong communication & teamwork Patient-first mindset (BSSR & hourly rounding) Phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, telemetry monitoring Cardioversions, critical thinking, time management Drips Titration required Pressors, insulin, anticoagulants, epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, angiotensin II Monitoring & Support RNs read their own tele strips Charge nurse house supervisor onsite (charge takes assignments) 2 nurse aides per shift Full RT support (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, vents) – 22 hrs/day Scheduling Shifts: 0500–1730 or 1700–0530 (30-min meal break) No block or self-scheduling for agency Weekends/Holidays: Flexible Call: None (low census may result in low-need placement) Floating Possible to ED as helping hands during codes/traumas if on code team Dress Code Navy blue scrubs, no hoodies Orientation 1 day with RN Updated: 12/12/25 About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
