Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Care is delivered in accordance with professional nursing standards and the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Monitor patient condition and evaluate progress toward care goals , adjusting plans as needed. Perform clinical procedures and ensure safe use of medical equipment, medications, and treatments . Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care . Coordinate patient care activities with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members . Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing care provided by support staff . Document nursing care accurately in electronic medical records and hospital systems . Advocate for patients and ensure ethical, culturally competent, and age-appropriate care . Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement efforts . Required Skills Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills . Excellent communication and teamwork abilities . Ability to manage multiple patient care priorities in a fast-paced environment . Proficiency in electronic documentation systems . Commitment to patient safety, compassionate care, and professional nursing standards . Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program . Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN accepted. Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience required.
