Job Details Position: Med/Surg RN – Extended Recovery (3rd Floor) Job Title Keywords: Med/Surg Registered Nurse, Travel Nurse, Travel RN, Medical-Surgical Nurse, Extended Recovery Nurse Location: On-site in Cumming, GA 30041 (Forsyth County, North Georgia, near Atlanta) Assignment Type: Travel (W2) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 27, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM); schedule may include any day Monday–Sunday Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,420 – $1,490 Openings: 1 Note: No local candidates within 50 miles Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or Extended Recovery (medical-surgical nurse experience preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (compact or state license as required) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities Primary Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Extended Recovery unit (post-operative and post-procedural recovery) Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and recovery progress Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and interventions as ordered Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, rehabilitation therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes Provide patient and family education on recovery plans, discharge instructions, wound care, and follow-up needs Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Why This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
