The RN will support a diverse population of postoperative patients and must be skilled in clinical judgment, assessment, and coordination of care in a fast-paced acute setting. This role requires strong familiarity with postoperative recovery, wound management, drains, and surgical-specific nursing interventions. RNs will chart using EPIC and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary staff to support safe and efficient patient outcomes. Unit / Clinical Details Surgical patient types include: Nephrectomy Colectomy Amputation Ostomy management Surgical drains Additional skills preferred: Negative-pressure wound therapy Pain pumps TPN Central line care Key Responsibilities Provide direct Med-Surg nursing care for postoperative patients Perform assessments and document care accurately in EPIC Manage wound care, drains, and surgical recovery needs Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams Maintain nursing and facility standards of care Support safe, efficient patient flow and care delivery Required Qualifications Active RN license (state of practice) BLS (required) NIHSS (required) ACLS (preferred) Current PPD or Chest X-Ray Minimum 1 year RN experience preferred Full English proficiency (verbal & written) Worksite Address 1234 Napier Avenue St. Joseph, MI 49085 Why This Opportunity?
