Quick Details Location: Milwaukee, WI 53227 — Milwaukee travel nursing job / Milwaukee healthcare jobs Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) — Night shift RN / travel nurse night shift Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Unit: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) — LTAC nurse / long-term acute care nursing Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930–$2030/week Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification required prior to first shift ACLS Certification required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience required (2 years highly desired) Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, or similar acute care settings preferred Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching beginning at admission Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to facility policies and evidence-based practices Participate in team building and contribute positively to unit operations Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education — continuing education for RNs encouraged This travel RN LTAC position in Milwaukee is a great opportunity for RNs who enjoy night-shift clinical work and long-term acute care.
