Job Details Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930-$2030 Employment Type: Travel Nurse (On-site) Location: Milwaukee, WI (West Allis area) – zip code 53227 Summary of Qualifications (Quick View) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific licensure required) BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience; 2 years preferred LTAC, step-down, or similar acute/post-acute care experience preferred Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired) Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, step-down, or similar acute care settings preferred Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Initiate and coordinate patient teaching and discharge planning starting at admission Communicate clinical changes to providers to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to facility policies, infection control, and regulatory standards Participate in team building and positively contribute to unit operations; assume charge nurse duties as needed Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC and critical care nursing Clinical Skills & Experience (Preferred) Experience with LTAC patient populations, including post-acute care and rehabilitation Familiarity with ventilator support, tracheostomy care, wound care, and complex medication regimens (may be required depending on unit scope) Strong assessment, critical thinking, and care coordination skills Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
