Job Details Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Calhoun County, southwest Michigan) Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: 12-hour days (Day Shift) Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Rehabilitation unit — on-site position Estimated Weekly Salary: $1890–$1990/week Required Qualifications (Registered Nurse - RN) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where you will work (or compact RN eligible) BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required prior to first shift Minimum of 1 year bedside clinical experience required; 2 years (LTAC, med-surg, step-down, or rehab) preferred Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient teaching skills Preferred / Valuable Skills Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, wound care, and complex discharge planning Charge nurse experience or ability to assume charge responsibilities after orientation Previous travel nursing or LTAC nursing experience Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, individualized patient care following nursing care plans in an LTAC / rehabilitation setting Perform timely nursing assessments (within 8 hours of admission) and develop/update care plans to support recovery Supervise and coordinate care with Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new orientees Participate in and support patient rehabilitation programs, restorative nursing, and multidisciplinary care rounds Identify patient and family teaching needs; provide clear education for disease management and discharge planning Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner to maintain clinical continuity Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and effective care transitions Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and contribute to team-building efforts Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies, infection control, and established protocols Maintain open communication with unit leadership regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
