Job Details Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Jackson, Tennessee) Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse) Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) — Night Shift RN Start Date: March 30, 2026 Setting: LTAC critical care and rehabilitation — ideal for critical care RNs and experienced bedside nurses Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800–$1890 Qualifications & Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired) Critical care experience required — preferred LTAC, ICU, step-down, or acute care background Strong documentation, assessment, and patient education skills for rehabilitation-focused care Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans for LTAC patients Collaborate with patients, families, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to set rehabilitation and discharge goals Provide accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in and support patient rehabilitation programs with a focus on quality outcomes and patient education Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching beginning at admission to support safe transitions of care Communicate clinical changes and escalate concerns to providers to ensure continuity and patient safety Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately to maintain efficient clinical operations Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies, infection control, and best practices Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment for fellow healthcare professionals Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and ongoing training needs Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation and demonstrate leadership on night shifts Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC and critical care nursing Why join us: This LTAC travel RN position in Jackson, TN delivers hands-on critical care and rehabilitation experience, competitive travel nurse pay (estimated weekly pay: $1800–$1890), and the opportunity to impact patient recovery in a supportive healthcare team.
