Job Details Location: Nashville, Tennessee (37203) — Nashville RN, Tennessee nursing jobs, travel nursing in Nashville Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) — LTAC RN, long-term acute care nurse Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse opportunity) Shift: Night Shift (3 x 12-hour shifts per week) Hours per Week: 36 Duration: 13 weeks Number of Openings: 4 Start Date: March 30, 2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870 per week Job Requirements / Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee license or Compact RN accepted) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) — critical care, LTAC, sub-acute, or surgical experience preferred Experience with ventilator care, tracheostomy management, wound care, and complex rehab patients is a plus Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication skills Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and ongoing assessments throughout the shift Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating — LTAC RN responsibilities Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission to support safe transitions of care Communicate changes in patient status to physicians, charge nurses, and case management to ensure continuity of care Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures Participate in team building, quality improvement, and contribute to a positive work environment Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation — potential for charge nurse or shift lead duties Engage in professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical competencies Experience the excitement of Nashville—famous for its vibrant music scene, rich culture, and southern hospitality—while advancing your nursing career in a supportive LTAC environment.
