Job Description & Requirements Specialty: LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel LDRP RN – Job Summary Breakdown Radius Rule Must live 50 miles away Driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify radius) Facility Policies Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas → Refusal to remove = termination RN Orientation Exam Open-book skills exam (Friday during orientation) Must score 90% to pass Pass/Fail (Failure = contract termination) Department Details Unit: LDRP RN (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Birth Volume: ~400 births/year Beds 15 LDRP beds 15 Postpartum beds Required Certifications BLS NRP Minimum 3 years Labor & Delivery experience ‍⚕️ Patient Population Obstetrics Antepartum & Postpartum Post-surgical GYN Pregnancy with HTN Pregnancy with Diabetes Ratios (Follows AWHONN Guidelines) 1:3 1:1 for active labor patients Skills Required Must titrate drips Pitocin Magnesium (Mag) Procardia Floating Policy Rare (critical staffing only) If floated → sit or task-based support only ‍⚕️ Charge Nurse Yes, on each shift Charge may take assignment Respiratory / Monitoring No tele/monitor techs No vent management required No strip reading required Scheduling 12-hour shifts (6–7) Schedule made by manager Every other weekend Holidays if needed No call or standby Orientation 1 week classroom 2–3 floor shifts ⭐ Additional Notes Blue Distinction recognized unit High patient satisfaction scores Breastfeeding-friendly environment Time Off Policy Max 7 days RTO per 13-week contract Must be submitted upfront No additional RTO after submission About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
