Job Details Location: Camden, NJ 08103 (Camden nursing jobs | New Jersey travel nurse) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,580 - $2,720 Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – On-site Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026) Shift: Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 - 07:00); 36 hours/week Weekend Coverage: Required (every other weekend) Float Requirement: May float to 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, OLOL) Scrubs: Provided by hospital Employment Type: Travel nurse / contract RN Vaccination: COVID-19 & flu required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Qualifications / Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN (L&D RN) experience within the last 12 months Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (cannot expire within 30 days of assignment start) EPIC charting experience required (experience with electronic medical record systems) Experience circulating and scrubbing for C-sections and assisting with high?risk deliveries Ability to pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (2 attempts permitted; must be taken on PC) Fit test required prior to working on unit; must be clean shaven if fit test requires it First-time travel nurses accepted (experience preferred but not required) Must be able to float to High Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB) and other units within skillset Complete labs within 48 hours of signing and provide interview availability (3–5 day range) at submission Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery / OB RN) Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care in a Level III high?risk obstetrics unit Circulate and scrub for C?sections, assist with operative deliveries, and support emergency cesarean sections Perform fetal surveillance: external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns Manage high?risk obstetric situations including hemorrhage/shock, postpartum hemorrhage, and pre/eclampsia/pregnancy?induced hypertension Conduct antepartum assessments, NSTs, assist with amniocentesis and sterile speculum exams Provide couplet care, baby?friendly protocols, APGAR scoring, cord blood collection, and radiant warmer/thermoregulation Administer medications common to obstetrics: Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, prostaglandins, analgesia/anesthesia coordination, and emergency meds Perform sterile vaginal exams, wound care, pain assessment/management, and vaccine administration per hospital policy Collaborate with OB/GYN, anesthesia, neonatology, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize maternal-newborn outcomes Float to other units and affiliated hospitals within clinical skillset as needed (supporting regional New Jersey healthcare network) Why join us?
