Night shift (12-hour) L&D travel nurse role in Titusville, FL—ideal for obstetric nurses with current Florida or multi-state compact RN license and strong maternal-newborn clinical skills. Job Details – Labor & Delivery RN / Travel Nurse Location: Titusville, FL 32796 (Space Coast, Brevard County) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026) Travel Nursing Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Women’s Center (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, GYN, Newborn) Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratios: 1:2–3 (L&D) Unit Details: 4 rooms, 6 beds, ~40–50 deliveries/month Floating: Required within LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Weekend Requirement: Varies based on unit needs On-Call: Not required Charting / EMR: Meditech and GE Cent Parking: Free in any unrestricted space Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350–$1,420 Qualifications – L&D RN / Obstetric Nurse / Travel Nurse Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required (5–10 years preferred); prior travel nursing experience required License: Active Florida RN license or active multi-state compact RN license (must be in hand) Certifications: BLS and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred Clinical Skills: Labor & Delivery, postpartum, mother-baby care, newborn resuscitation/stabilization, fetal heart monitoring (EFM), vaginal exams, labor support Procedures / Competencies: Pitocin induction, induction of labor, C-section assistance (primary/repeat), obstetrical triage (20 weeks), non-stress tests, breastfeeding/lactation support Other Requirements: Must live >30 miles from facility (no locals); COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Provide safe, evidence-based obstetric and neonatal care as an L&D RN in a team-oriented women’s health environment Perform and document ongoing maternal and fetal assessments, including electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns Provide labor support, manage labor progression, and perform triage for obstetrical patients Support vaginal deliveries and assist/circulate for cesarean births alongside OB/GYN and anesthesia teams Provide immediate newborn care, including resuscitation and stabilization per NRP guidelines Perform non-stress tests (NSTs) and provide breastfeeding and lactation support for new mothers Float within the LDRP service line to support staffing and patient flow across postpartum and mother-baby units Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech/GE Cent and adhere to hospital policies for quality, safety, and compliance Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN providers, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, PT) to ensure coordinated maternal-newborn care Apply now to advance your career as a Labor & Delivery travel nurse on Florida’s Space Coast.
