A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Neuro Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked • 13-week contract length • Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care units and inpatient units as needed • Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required • Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay • Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility • Minimum 2 years experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred • Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong neuro assessment skills required • Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS • EPIC charting experience required • Associate Degree or Certificate education requirement • Work with 8-bed Neuro unit caring for stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients • Experience with EVDs and ICP monitoring needed • Perform neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation • Experience as Neuro Interventionalist preferred • Must be able to work independently and manage tasks in a timely manner • Any color scrubs permitted • Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours • Guaranteed hours not applicable during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed Facility: This healthcare organization operates a specialized 8-bed Neuro ICU unit providing critical care services for patients with neurological conditions.
