Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,325 per week

First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Department: ICU RN *Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - PALS & TNCC preferred* - of Beds- 16 - Nurse:Patient Ratios- 2: 1 - Common diagnoses/Types of patients- Medical ICU- sepsis, resp failure, stroke, MI - How many years’ experience required?- preferred 2 years - Previous travel experience required?- preferred - Experience or 'Must have' skills- ICU experience with experience in drips, vents, bipaps - Are RNs required to titrate drips? - Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips- vasopressors, sedation ( levo, neo, cardene, precedex, propofol, etc) - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?- Yes - Does the charge nurse take an assignment?- Yes - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?- No nurse aids - Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?- Hospitalist 24/7 in house, intensivists in house during day hours and available tele medicine during night - RT in ICU 24/7?- no, shared with ER - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?- RT does all adjusting - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit?- centralized tele monitor techs not located in house - Are RNs required to read their own strips?- Monitor tech will read but nurse but be able to read and verify - What brand are the tele monitors?- draegers - Shifts & Scheduling - 1830-0700. every third weekend - Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling? no self-scheduling. cannot gaurentee block scheduling.
