Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes and monitor for adverse reactions Provide bedside nursing care and ongoing patient monitoring Initiate and provide patient and family education regarding: Post-treatment home care Diet, nutrition, and exercise programs Medication self-administration Rehabilitation processes Document patient medical information, assessments, and vital signs accurately and timely Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Respond to life-threatening situations according to hospital protocols Collect lab specimens and evaluate reports Critical Care Skills Hemodynamic monitoring Phlebotomy and IV therapy Management of ventilators, respirators, and oxygen delivery systems Monitoring specialized equipment such as: Central venous pressure (CVP) Pulmonary artery pressures Cardiac monitors and rhythms Monitor catheters, leads, and tubing for proper placement and function Take immediate corrective action when monitoring equipment indicates adverse patient conditions TotalMed Travel Job ID 1393159.
