Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • No floating required • Nurse to patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients • Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and patients on ventilators • Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment • One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire • Precepted by designated trained staff member during onboarding • Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation • Required certifications: BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA • RN License in state of employment or compact required • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Critical Care Unit that combines cardiac and medical intensive care services.
