A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: • Multiple shifts available with full-time positions • Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting • Care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and patients on ventilators • Maintain 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • No floating required • Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license required • BLS certification from AHA required • ACLS certification from AHA required • One year of critical care experience preferred but will accept new graduates • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire • Complete department-specific competency validation and annual competency verification requirements • Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided • Provide patient and family education based on assessed learning needs Facility: This healthcare facility operates a mixed cardiac and medical intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services.
