Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process. Provides high-quality, patient-centered care based on established standards, protocols, and policies. Manages patients with medical-surgical, telemetry, and critical care needs, including post-operative care, cardiac monitoring, and ventilator support. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Provide patient care in accordance with standards of practice and hospital protocols Educate patients and families based on learning needs and readiness Coordinate discharge planning with appropriate support systems Delegate and supervise nursing interventions appropriately Prioritize patient care and respond to emergency situations effectively Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team Administer medications and IV therapies safely Monitor and reassess pain levels and patient responses to treatment Identify and interpret cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes Manage thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapies Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical ventilation and care of intubated patients Interpret arterial blood gases and monitor respiratory status Assist with hemodynamic monitoring and invasive line management Administer and titrate vasoactive medications Provide post-operative care and monitor for complications Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care coordination Implement safety protocols and identify risks to patient safety Participate in professional development and support team learning Requirements Experience Minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred Telemetry experience preferred ICU experience preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, ventilators, and critical care preferred Licenses/Certifications Active MA (Massachusetts) RN License BLS Certification (required upon hire) ACLS Certification (required upon hire or within 60 days) CCRN Certification preferred MOAB Certification required within 60 days of hire Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Job ID: T4H - 914 About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
